Requirements
- AlemHealth DICOM Viewer multi display browser extension requires Google Chrome browser version 52 or newer.
- Multi display requires more than one display.
- Recommended to have monitors with the same resolution (and Windows PC - the same scale), to expand browser content to correct size and position.
Extension installation
- Extension can be found here:
- Open Google Chrome Properties -> More tools -> Extensions:

In opened window select Extensions (in the left upper corner) -> Open Chrome Web Store

- Go directly to Google Chrome extensions website -> https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
- Search for AlemHealth browser extension: type “AlemHealth” or “multi-monitors” in the search field.

- Find the “AlemHealth extension for multi-monitors” in Extensions list, select to add the extension by pressing the button, and confirm the installation.
- The extension is added to the Chrome browser:
- the extension icon is displayed in the browser’s extensions toolbar,
- the notification about the possibility to manage the extension by clicking on the icon, or by finding the extension in the extensions list under Extensions menu, is displayed.
Extension configuration
- Open the extension options window by clicking the extension icon the In Google Chrome browser`s extension toolbar in the upper right corner, or by opening the extension from extensions list, and selecting the extension options.

NOTE! Please note, that parameters are stored in browser local storage, thus after deleting temporary files should be set up again.

- The user can change the following options:
- Debug mode:
- Check the Debug mode check box to inspect extension logic (find URL) and calculations (set window position and size). In console window, will display information about founded window and options that will try to apply.
- Pressing the Clear settings button resets options and clears all saved settings. Extension is using chrome.storage.local to save all data.
NOTE! Settings will not be saved if the URL context path is empty.
- Pressing the Remove button removes your created options for URL part for search.
- Automatically move and expand browser window:
- Select displays (PC monitors) to automatically adjust matching window position and size. Selected display will be marked with green color and word “Selected”:

- Pressing the Identify button shows display numbers in each display (PC monitor) left bottom corner. It allows us to identify, in what order extension sees displays.
- Manually set browser window size:
- Check the Manually set browser window size check box to set matching window position (Left, and Top inputs) and size (Width, and Height inputs). It is useful to set custom position and size if displays (PC monitors) are not the same size or different DPI.
- Pressing the Update Parameters button quickly fills Left, Top, Width and Height inputs with values of current active window. If the user opens a new window, position and resize this window, and then in the same window opens extension option window, the calculated current window size and position should be displayed.
NOTE! Settings will not be saved if position or size inputs are empty.
- Pressing the Add button adds another URL part for search block options. This allows different URL to have different window size and positions.
- Pressing the Save button saves all options.
- Option setting workflows:
- Set to automatically move and expand browser window:
- Open AlemHealth extension option window.
- Fill in the URL part for search input with the matching URL part.
- Click on desired displays in Automatically move and expand browser window.
- Press the Save button and try to open or refresh your window.
- Manually set browsers window size:
- Open your AlemHealth viewer window which you want to expand on more than one display.
- Move to desired position and resize browser window.
- Open AlemHealth extension’s option windows.
- Select checkbox Manually set browser window size.
- Press button Update Parameters to fill inputs (top, left, width and height) with current window size or fill manually.
- Press the Save button and try to open or refresh your window.
- Examples. When AlemHealth DICOM Viewer will be opened, the extension detects context path and automatically seizes web browser window in specified displays. It is recommended to use appropriate thumbnail layout like Thumbnail Top or Thumbnail Down.
NOTE! If using multiple viewports layout with several monitors in Chrome browser and with window placement allowed, the system displays the whole viewport inside one monitor, and maximizes the viewport inside one monitor.
