Welcome to AlemHealth: Your Installation Guide
Congratulations on your decision to use the AlemBox for your radiology needs! Our devices are designed to provide seamless and efficient radiology storage and teleradiology services. Here's your step-by-step guide to help you install and start using your AlemHealth device. 1. Collect Your AlemHealth Device
Your AlemBox will be delivered to you by courier. Please note that you may need to clear customs duties upon arrival, depending on your country's regulations.
2. Choose a Location for Your Device
Select an optimal location within your premises:
- Accessible and secure placement
- Near your network connection for convenience
- Adequate ventilation to prevent overheating
3. Connect Your Device to Power and the Internet
Power Connection
- Connect the 12V power connector to a power outlet.
- The device should turn on automatically once connected.
Ethernet Connection

Locate the two Ethernet ports on your device:
- Ethernet Port 1 (MbE WAN): Connect to your network router or switch for internet connectivity.
- Ethernet Port 2 (GbE LAN): Connect directly to your imaging modalities or workstations, if necessary.

Use Ethernet cables to make the connections.

Once connected, the Ethernet ports will blink to indicate an active connection.
Optional 4G Internet Connection
- Insert a SIM card into the designated slot.
- Attach the included 4G antenna to your device.
- This connection can serve as an alternative to, or alongside, your Ethernet connection.
- Note: You still need at least one Ethernet connection to link your device to your modalities or workstation.
4. Log In to Your AlemHealth Account
- Visit https://admin.alem.health/dashboard.
- Log in with your provided username and password.
- Navigate to the "My Connections" section to confirm your device is online.

5. Provide Your IP Details
- AlemHealth support will preconfigure your device to use a static IP address prior to shipment.
- Add your Static IP and Gateway IP details in your network map within the onboarding guide, or email them to support@alemhealth.com.
Note: Ensure your network allows outbound connections over the necessary ports and that firewall settings do not block communication between your modalities and the AlemBox/AlemHub.
6. Set Up Your Imaging Modalities
Configure each imaging modality with the following settings:
- Port: 5555
- AET: ALEMHEALTH (case-sensitive, use uppercase letters)
- IP Address: Use the static IP address provided by support.
This setup enables effective communication with our network and allows studies to be sent to your device.
Test the Connection:
- Perform a C-ECHO (DICOM Echo) test from your modality to the AlemBox to ensure proper connectivity.
7. Send a Test Study
- Send a test study from each configured modality to the AlemBox.
- Confirm that the studies are transmitted successfully.
