The AlemHealth DICOM Viewer runs in a modern browser with no local software installed. This article covers the supported browsers, recommended hardware, and how to sign in.
Step 1: Check your browser
The viewer is tested on current versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Chrome is recommended for radiologists because it supports the AlemHealth multi-monitor extension. Minimum Chrome version for the extension is 52 or newer.
Step 2: Confirm hardware
For diagnostic reading, use a medical-grade monitor with at least 3MP resolution for radiography and 5MP for mammography. For routine review, any modern laptop or workstation is fine. 8 GB RAM and a dedicated GPU speed up 3D rendering but are not required for 2D workflows.
Step 3: Sign in
Go to your AlemHealth workspace URL (provided by your admin). Enter your username and password. If your organisation has SSO enabled, use the Sign in with SSO button instead. Your session stays active until you log out or your admin-set timeout expires.
Step 4: Reset your password if needed
On the login page, click Forgot password and enter your email. You will receive a reset link. If no email arrives within five minutes, ask your facility admin to verify your account is active.
Tips
- If the viewer freezes or loads blank images, clear the browser cache for your AlemHealth domain and reload. This is the fastest fix for most display problems.
- Do not store credentials in shared browsers at imaging centres. Use private browsing or log out at the end of each shift.
